Mt. Prospect Partnership provides supplemental Security and Sanitation services for the district to promote business activity to ensure the neighborhood’s economic vitality and improved quality of life for the people who live, work, invest on Mt. Prospect Avenue, and visitors to our community.
A clean and safe community contributes to a better quality of life and remains a top priority. Our clean team members from Commercial District Services (CDS) are out in the district six days a week cleaning debris, removing graffiti from public areas, and bagging garbage up and down the Avenue. The clean team also removes illegal signage and flyers and removes graffiti from public areas such as light poles and electrical boxes and is responsible for the maintenance of decorative planters enhancing the local streetscape.
By taking a proactive role as a partner with the City of Newark’s Sanitation Department, the Partnership’s Board of Trustees has reinforced a higher standard of cleanliness for the district. By contracting with professionals in the cleaning and maintenance of public spaces, we hope to lead by example, encouraging the community, individually and collectively, to join us in our efforts to keep Mt. Prospect “Clean and Green.”
A safe and secure community is one of the most important factors in revitalizing our district. The MPP’s security team is out patrolling the district to help foster a safer environment. Working cooperatively with the Newark Police Department, the Partnership and our team from Sterling Security are helping to keep our community safer by providing extra eyes and ears on the streets. Sterling Securities representatives are experienced, highly trained and certified, and ready to lend a hand to residents and businesses.
Whether you live or work in the district, or visit Mt. Prospect for shopping, dining and services, MPP is committed to ongoing efforts to make our community a friendly and welcoming place.
The Mt. Prospect Partnership is committed to implementing programs that ensure the district’s continued economic growth and vitality. By providing marketing support through the creation and management of informational materials, events, and publicity services, we will continue to work to support the area’s businesses and promote new ones.
MPP brings together small business and property owners, merchants, real estate and other professionals to network and exchange information about how to manage and grow local business.
